Bored of butter, jam and peanut spread? It’s time to rethink your morning toast.

Prep time: 5 minutes II Serves 6

  • 6 slices whole-wheat crusty bread
  • 1/3 cup low-fat ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 6 figs (fresh or dried), sliced

In a toaster oven or toaster, lightly toast bread.

In a bowl, stir together cheese, honey; spread over toast. Arrange fig slices over top.
